Hello to everyone from all of us at the Licking Senior Center.
The all you can eat breakfast went very well. Thanks to all of you who came out to support the senior center. Hope to see you at the April breakfast.
On March 30 we are planning to have our annual Vi Bailie day. But we have added a very interesting volunteer to our event. Luetta Swaringim has volunteered over 10 years at the senior center, taking money at the desk two days a week. Hardly ever taking a day away from her work at 94-years-old. She says after her husband passed away she felt like she had to do something, so she chose the senior center. Vi Bailie on the other hand is 93 and comes to the center everyday, always with a story to tell., and plenty of ambition to do whatever needs to be done. Congratulations to both of these hard working volunteers. Stop by the center at 1 p.m. on Friday and enjoy some cake and ice cream.
If you would like to volunteer, please call 573-674-3558 or stop by the center and talk with Cindy.
Beginning April 3, the senior center will have a jam session at 6 p.m. every Tuesday. Come on over and join in, and have some fun.
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for April 14 to attend our third annual paddle party. We will start at 2 p.m. in the Intercounty Electric auditorium. Bring plenty of quarters with you.
The Bridge Builders will be serving burgers at all scheduled Buckner and Gately auctions. Isn’t anything any better than a cheeseburger with grilled onions on it. April 14 is the next auction.
